The American Health Information Community was a federally-chartered
advisory committee which was formed in 2005-2008 to advance efforts on
the development of a Nationwide Health Information Network.

AHIC sponsored several workgroups whose meetings were open to the
public. Many PHDSC members were active on AHIC workgroups, including:

Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL)

Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO)

Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC)

Council of State & Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE)
