EXCHANGE STUDENTS AT UNIVERSITY OF BIELSKO-BIAŁA

There are a lot of Socrates students from all Europe at our University
who are studying computer sciences, polish and slavic philology,
environmental protection and clothing design. We have 4 students from
Spain, 2 students from France, 1 student from Portugal, 2 students
from Bulgaria, 1 students from Slovenia, 2 students from Czech
Republic and 3 students from Turkey at summer semester 2007. The
students from from Universidade de Vigo, Technical University of
Barcelona and Henri Poincare University of Nancy make the presentation
about their institutions. The foreign students introduce the offered
programme of study for Sokrates students and region, city of Spain.
The meeting with students was organised by Faculty Sokrates
Coordinator Ph.D Stanislaw Zawislak.

THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2006/07

The Rector and the Senate of the University of Bielsko-Biała have a
honour to invite to The Opening Ceremony of the Academic Year 2006/07,
which will take place on 6th October 2006 at 12.00 p.m. in the
Auditorium of the Bielsko Cultural Centre, Słowackiego Street 27 in
Bielsko-Biała. Programme of Ceremony:
Opening of the ceremony- Rector of University of Bielsko-Biała-
Professor Marek Trombski.
The inauguration address delivered by Rector of University of
Bielsko-Biała- Professor Marek Trombski.
The addresses delivered by guests.
The matriculation of new students.
The inauguration lecture delivered by Professor Karol Daniel Kadłubiec
"Cultural face of the lands at the edge of Beskidy Mountains".

FIAT AWARDS CEREMONY IN GLIWICE 2006

There was a Ceremony of Fiat Awards for the best master and doctoral
theses from the automotive and connected field on the University of
Bielsko-Biała and Silesian Technical University of Gliwice on 23rd of
February 2006 in Gliwice. A lot of guests participated in official
ceremony at Silesian Technical University of Gliwice, the
represetaitive of sponsors from Fiat and Centro Ricerche and the local
authorities. Results of Fiat sponsored competition for the best final
thesis at University of Bielsko-Biała in 2005 are: doctoral theses -
Henryk Wnęk Ph.D., Dariusz Więcek Ph.D., Jarosław Janusz Ph.D.; master
theses - M.Sc. Krzysztof Szmuk, M.Sc. Agata Michalec, M.Sc. Paweł
Ziemba.

THE LECTURES "PRODUCTION AND QUALITY MANAGEMENT IN VOLKSWAGEN COMPANY"

The cycle of lectures "Production and quality management in Volkswagen
company" will take place in University of Bielsko-Biala on 28-29th of
March, 10-12th of April and 06-07th of June 2006. The lectures will be
conducted and coordinated by top representative of Volkswagen Company.
The best students will going for lectures to Volkswagen Company in
Salzgitter on 09-14th of April 2006.
