Welcome UC Academic Health Center
The Center for Clinical and Translational Science and Training (CCTST) was established in October 2005 to serve the support and educational needs of the entire clinical and translational research community of the UC Academic Health Center (AHC). The CCTST is co-directed by James Heubi, MD, Professor of Pediatrics and Associate Dean for Clinical and Translational Research, and Joel Tsevat, MD, MPH , Professor of Medicine and Associate Dean for Clinical and Translational Research, with support from the CCTST staff and directors of the CCTST programs. Centrally located on the AHC campus, the CCTST serves the entire UC-CCHMC-VAMC research community.
The CCTST spearheaded UC's application for an Institutional Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA), and in April 2009 was awarded a CTSA for UC and its affliates. The CTSA is an NIH Roadmap initiative to create an academic home for clinical and translational research at AHCs across the country.
