CEDAR VALLEY HOSPICE COREY KOSTER has joined Cedar Valley Hospice as a weekend on-call nurse. Koster received her R.N. degree from the Allen School of Nursing and worked as a missionary in Haiti prior to coming to Cedar Valley Hospice. MARI WENZEL also has joined Cedar Valley Hospice as a float nurse for the Waterloo area. Wenzel previously worked as an on-call nurse for Cedar Valley Hospice’s Independence office. Wenzel received her RN degree from Allen School of Nursing and prior to coming to Cedar Valley Hospice was employed by Buchanan County Health. AMY PEYTON has joined Cedar Valley Hospice as a social worker. Peyton received her B.A. in psychology and human relations and her master’s in social work from the University of Iowa, Iowa City. She was previously employed as a case manager for Hawkeye Valley Area Agency on Aging and worked as an on-call social worker for Cedar Valley Hospice. PAULA SPURLIN has joined Cedar Valley Hospice as an on-call home health aide for the Hospice Home and the Grundy Center office. Spurlin received her certification as a home care aide from Hawkeye Community College.
CEDAR VALLEY ORTHODONTICS DR. CHRISTOPHER HOLAHAN recently began practicing orthodontics at Cedar Valley Orthodontics, 4113 University Ave., Cedar Falls. Holahan is a native of Mason City, received his undergraduate and dental degrees at the University of Iowa and then completed a two-year general practice residency at the University of North Carolina followed by four years of general dental practice. He then returned to study orthodontics at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., where he finished his residency and received a master’s degree in the biomedical sciences in June 2007. Holahan also has an orthodontic office in Charles City.
