In an effort to establish ASU's presence as a key contributor to and
of open source projects, we've created ASU Open Source. As the home
for any ASU-based open source project, it provides access to a
comprehensive suite of development-related tools for documentation,
issue tracking, code review, source control, code analysis and more.
ASU Open Source encourages ASU developers and departments to lean
toward open source development and foster a community of developers
both locally, at ASU, and globally, at other universities and
institutions that utilize the projects and tools available.

Features
========

ASU Open Source provides a suite of applications, free-of-charge to
both ASU and any open source projects hosted here. The tools, either
open source themselves or generously provided through Atlassian's open
source software licensing program, include:

JIRA (issue tracking)

Confluence (documentation)

Subversion (source control)

Crucible / Fish Eye (source repository browser / code review and
 discussion)

Bamboo (continuous integration server) coming soon

Clover (code coverage analysis) coming soon

All of the applications are tied together using Crowd for single
sign-on and group management.

Getting Started
===============

If you'd like to participate in any of the projects you see here,
simply signup up for an account.

We're also looking for new projects. Applying is easy, just submit a
brief proposal and we'll help you get started.

ASU Open Source was founded by Al Wold, Jeff Beeman and Ron Page. They
currently manage the site and project submissions.
