Report post Love this site!!!!!!!!! Anyone know if there is a lamp that gives the vitamin D? With winter coming, I want to buy one. I need it because I don't seem to digest it on my own. Donnalc

Yes! I've been reading this book, and in the chapter about sunlight the author said that people who use tanning beds don't usually need to supplement with vitamin d. I don't know if there are lights for home use that would provide vitamin D. I live in the pacific northwest where it's pretty much dark and cloudy for about 9 months of the year, so we have a couple of places that have lights to help combat SAD (seasonal affective disorder) but I don't know if they provide vitamin d. Why don't you try an internet search? You can type a few words into Google (or whatever) and you'll probably get a zillion and two hits to choose from. Here' a link to a store in Seattle that sells lights for SAD. You might give them a call and see if they can tell you if the lights provide vitamin D. Or maybe get manufacturer's names and contact them. http://www.indoorsun.com/
Someone here may provide more specific information. I would be wary of tanning beds because of their link to skin cancer. Good luck. I plan to supplement with vitamin D this winter.

Do you mean it gives you digestive problems or what? Are you getting magnesium in addition to calcium and vitamin d? Reply

Taking 2 Calcitrol, 100,000 IU everyother day, & 50,000 IU on the other day of Vitamin D. Spray magneium daily over entire body and also take 3 magnesium daily besides Calcium which is only 8.5 when tested. Suggestions: DLC Reply

Report post Are you talking about the light systems that cost more than $1200?
