How does viagra affect women who take it? Ok it probably has been asked a million times so this makes it a million and one. But how does products like viagra and cialis affect women who take it? I'm asking because my human sexuality teacher was talking to me about an episode of sex in the city where one of the women takes viagra, enjoys it and continues to take it so much that she can't enjoy sex with it. I don't know if that is true. But I thought I'd ask if there was any positive affect at all.
Chemically, it does exactly the same thing to women that it does to men - it makes nitric oxide more available in the genital tissues. For men, this makes it easier for their penises to get and stay erect, but for women the effect is a bit different:
The extra blood that's available for engorgement makes a woman's clitoris and labia a little more swollen than would normally happen and that makes them a little more sensitive to stimulation... and the blood that engorges the vaginal lining is the source of some extra lubricating fluids that will be available - so she'll be wetter/slipperier than usual too. A lot of doctors (even though the FDA hasn't yet approved it for this use) prescribe the stuff to women who have trouble with lubrication, arousal and/or orgasm due to antidepressant medication side-effects.
It does not make you hornier or change your sex drive at all.... I've been taking the stuff for years (I have MS that makes erections difficult for me) and all it does is make it possible for me to get hard when I am horny... but it does make you a lot more responsive. Can women take viagra that is prescribed for men? I wonder what would happen?
Is it safe for women to take viagra? I tried searching for information but all that shows up is buying them and not just wondering about it. Can anyone answer my question? Viagra, whose active ingredient is sildenafil, was launched in 1998 for use in men with erectile dysfunction (E.D.). Men have problems with erections for a variety of psychological and physiological reasons. Only a health care provider can determine if Viagra is appropriate for their individual situation. Viagra works by allowing increased blood flow to the penis, thus causing an erection. Some researchers theorize that sildenafil may have a similar effect in women, allowing the erectile tissue of the clitoris to engorge with blood. Tests on sildenafil's effects on women have been conducted by Pfizer (the company that developed Viagra), but the results were inconclusive. Other companies have tried to develop a female equivalent, but to no avail. While there is no form of sildenafil that has received approval for women from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), some health care providers have reported prescribing Viagra to women who had physiological sexual dysfunctions. They do not recommend Viagra for women who have psychological sexual dysfunctions.
Men who take Viagra by prescription risk side effects, such as skin flush, headaches, indigestion, and muscle pain. Some men report that high doses cause visual disturbances, including seeing a blue "haze" surrounding objects. Priapism, a prolonged, often painful erection, has also been reported. Serious drug interactions can occur. Viagra users who take heart medications that include nitrates risk dangerously low blood pressure. (Illegal stimulants, such as ecstasy and cocaine, are often cut with other drugs containing nitrates.) Because sildenafil has not received FDA approval for use by women, side effects in women are not known. Women could experience side effects similar to men, but they could also experience others that could potentially be more serious. Mail-order and Internet pharmacies have tried to cash in on Viagra's popularity. Since many of these pharmacies and the drugs they sell are not regulated by the FDA, customers run the risk of receiving low quality or counterfeit items or drugs that may cause the user great harm.
Men using Viagra need to have it prescribed by a health care provider and dispensed by a licensed pharmacist. Women who obtain the drug from their partner, a mail-order pharmacy, or the Internet run the same risks, including the known and unknown side effects mentioned above. The realm of human sexuality is only limited by our imagination. Since you and your partner are comfortable discussing your likes and dislikes, encourage your partner to experiment with other safer methods of arousal. Pleasuring and enjoying each other instead will be more fun than worrying about potential negative side effects.
Ladies if there was a Viagra for women ? Would you take it ? Guys would you want your wife to take it ? Or do you think the world has all the promiscuous woman it can handle? And giving woman Viagra would be like opening Pandora's box.
You should submit that as a name for the drug, Pandora's Box haha Silly, silly Egyptian avatar...I doubt the drug would make women more promiscuous, I don't think it's made men more promiscuous besides the ones who were anyhow till it stopped working properly and had to take time off...non?
This was inspired by a porn plot, wasn't it? You dirty, dirty boy haha =o) Also, they're not far off from this being reality, apparently it exists but just hasn't been approved, and in trials the women were loving it -- though not in a promiscuous way (they only featured older couples from a study being done).
What happens to women when they take Viagra? I've heard that there are some amazing side effects, but, I'm interested in finding out what clinically and physically happens to women who take Viagra...Thanks!
The love button turns into a Staples "EASY" button. Be careful and have fun :) Viagra work for women? How about to achieve orgasm?
Okay I have great sex drive, but a definite lack of reaching orgasm. Do you think viagra will help? This is a serious health question in that I'm one of the many women that have never achieved orgasm/have extreme difficulty with it. Hi girl..
I hope i am able to help. I was in such a situation too some time back. It makes things worse when he is not doing anything much to make me orgasm. Don't worry about not getting an orgasm as is seldom for us to get an orgasm just from penetration alone.. Unless you know which sexual positions help in aiding to stimulate our "Clitoris"/ "G-spot" -a small lap of skin just over the vagina at the same time during penetration. Trying out sex positions that stimulate our "Clitoris"/ "G-spot" -a small lap of skin just over the vagina will also help in woman having orgasm during lovemaking!
If you have no problem getting yourself an orgasm when masturbating.. Then show it to him how you masturbate and he will know where exactly to touch/finger the next round! Say things like "darling.. I like it when you do it this way" with a kinky look and he will go absolutely wild and to try all ways to satisfy you. =) He terribly need some help to know where and how to touch you!
I have compile more infos especially written for man on my website. Is totally free.. Should you need more infos, do get him to claim the free guide. That's his little naughty gift tonight! =) What happense when a women takes a viagra pill?
wht happense when a women takes a viagra pill. this didnt happen2 any1 i no, i wuz just windering 1) Officially viagra is not meant to be taken by women. Do not take viagra that has not been prescribed by a doctor for the specific patient.
2) It appears that it is not more dangerous for women to take viagra than for men. 3) Several studies show that there is no drastic profit for women in taking viagra. There are some results that show better blood flow in vaginal and clitoral tissues, but usually women do not report easier or better orgasms due to viagra. Viagra is not a profitable drug for women.
4) To the others comments: No, viagra does not contain hormones and it is not known to influence the hormonal levels -- neither of men nor women. How Many Women Refuse to Let Their Husbands Take Viagra Since Insurance Cos. Discriminate According to Dems?
Dems say some insurance companies discriminate since they pay for Viagra but won't pay for birth control. (Of course, Libs ignore the fact that insurance comapnies will pay for Viagra for both men and women who need it.)
Do Liberal women make their husbands boycott Viagra? so because viagra is used by some women as well as many men it's ok for insurance companies to deny coverage for birth control pills. brilliant logic. would you prefer your women pregnant for most of their lives or abstinent in their marriages until the moment they decide to have children?
i heard viagra can help women who take anti depressants and have low sex drive also? does anyone know if viagra can help women like me who take anti depressants with their low sex drive like it does for men?
I just saw on the news that they are currently doing studies on this. I would imagine it would help (and studies show it does)... but you may find it hard to get a prescription for it right now (since it is still in the testing stages for that use and the company Pfizer doesn't feel the need to submit it for this use). Is there such a thing as Viagra for women?
If so, how does it work? Is it safe? Are there any risks? Are there any concerns with interactions with other medicines or herbal products or supplement products? Any personal experiences? yeah it's called Viagra
For men with a problem there is viagra, what is available to women with low sex drive? I am finding it more and more difficult to get aroused. I know going through the change does that to you but there must be something out there along the same lines as viagra that would work for women in the same situation as me.
They make a topical ointment available by prescription from your doctor that you apply before intercourse that hightens your arrousal. I am not sure of the name of this medicine but I do know that it is available. Contact your OB/GYN and ask them about this. Also make sure your insurance will cover it as I am sure it is pricy.
